Conclusion & Alternatives
What should you consider before buying a WaveShark Board?
The ambitious Chinese company is rightly aiming for a leading position in the electric water sports market. Their products shine with excellent performance and solid workmanship, as well as an appropriate selection of high-quality materials. The focus on comprehensive safety measures calms the mind, but also counts as standard. The contemporary technology and focus on high ranges has its raison d'être, but also leads to the fact that there is room for improvement in other areas. For example, the jetboard's weight of around 55kg is a bit too heavy for a surfer with a maximum of 100kg of own weight for uncomplicated transport. Here it is worth taking a look at manufacturers like AWAKE (e.g. Rävik S) or Radinn (e.g. Carve).
The E-Foils from WaveShark are already better positioned in terms of weight, although the range has been similarly optimized. The products create a great overall impression and leave few points of criticism. Only the configuration of the riding style via various wing options (e.g. Fliteboard PRO) currently leaves something to be desired. However, this might be improved soon. Customization options regarding the design could also help the manufacturer to become more widespread, but are not mandatory from our point of view. Better a solid board that can convince with a balanced driving feel, than colorful collections that are unfinished in their performance.
