Waydoo Flyer EVO Battery — Overview

Waydoo Flyer EVO Powerflight BatteryThe Flyer EVO comes with a choice of two Powerflight battery capacities: the 1800 Wh version (Powerflight 18) and the larger 2300 Wh model (Powerflight 23). Both batteries are built with top-tier lithium-ion cells housed in durable aluminum alloy casings.

The 1800 Wh battery is ideal for enhancing maneuverability with the lighter pack weight; the 2300 Wh option delivers longer operational time. Both batteries include an LCD display for instant status updates, IP68 waterproof rating, leak-detection alerts and reverse-charging support — the pack can also serve as a power source for other devices when paired with the Inverter Charger.

Two Capacities for Two Use Cases

Powerflight 18 (1800 Wh, 15.7 kg) for agility and shorter sessions. Powerflight 23 (2300 Wh, 17.5 kg) for distance riding and full-session use.

LCD Status & Leak Detection

The integrated LCD display shows capacity, voltage and status at a glance. Leak-detection alerts add a layer of safety in case water ingress is detected inside the housing.

IP68 Waterproof Aluminum Alloy

Durable aluminum alloy casing rated IP68 — sealed against rain, splashes and salt-water immersion in line with the eFoil drive-system standard.

Reverse Charging With Inverter Charger

When paired with the Inverter Charger, the EVO Battery can serve as a portable power source for other compatible devices — useful on remote trips and yacht use.

FAQ — Capacity, Charging & Compatibility

Who is the Waydoo Flyer EVO Battery for?

Flyer EVO and EPIX owners who need a replacement or second battery, distance-focused riders upgrading from Powerflight 18 to Powerflight 23, multi-battery households for parallel charging, and charter operators / schools running multiple batteries per board.

What’s the difference between Powerflight 18 and Powerflight 23?

Powerflight 18 delivers 1800 Wh at 15.7 kg — lighter for agility and shorter sessions. Powerflight 23 delivers 2300 Wh at 17.5 kg — +28 % capacity, +1.8 kg weight. Same dimensions, same voltage, same electronics.

Which Waydoo eFoils is this battery compatible with?

All Flyer EVO eFoils (Lite, Pro Plus, Max Plus, Master) and the Waydoo x Jobe EPIX. It is not compatible with the older Flyer One platform.

How long does each battery last per charge?

Real-world ride time depends on rider weight, drivetrain (4000 W vs. 6000 W), wing choice and conditions. Powerflight 23 typically delivers ~28 % more session time than Powerflight 18 — see the individual EVO model pages for set-specific runtime figures.

How long does it take to charge?

Charging time depends on the charger: the 600 W Powerflight Charger is the standard rate; the 1500 W Inverter Charger is roughly 2.5× faster.

Is the battery IP68 waterproof?

Yes — both Powerflight 18 and Powerflight 23 are rated IP68 (sealed against rain, splashes and salt-water immersion) and include leak-detection alerts.

Can the battery serve as a power bank?

Yes — when paired with the Inverter Charger, the EVO Battery supports reverse-charging and can serve as a portable power source for other compatible devices.

How do I store the battery safely?

Store at room temperature (10–25 °C), ideally at 30–60 % state of charge for long-term storage. Avoid extreme heat, frost and direct sunlight.

What’s the difference vs. the older Flyer One battery?

The Powerflight battery is an EVO-platform pack with IP68, LCD display, leak detection and reverse charging — the older Flyer One battery is a different system and not cross-compatible.

Can I order this battery as a replacement or upgrade?

Yes — both Powerflight 18 and Powerflight 23 are available individually as replacement or upgrade parts for existing Flyer EVO and EPIX owners.
