Aerofoils Audi e-tron eFoil Remote (incl. Charger) — Overview
The Aerofoils Audi e-tron eFoil Remote is the wireless throttle control for the entire Audi e-tron eFoil platform. A 2.2″ sunlight-readable full-color display, three intuitive ride modes and a fully floatable housing make it the safest and most informative remote in the Aerofoils ecosystem — essential when riding without the Hyperfly Hyperbar.
The remote ships with the matching charging station, USB-C cable and silicone strap. Compatible with every Aerofoils Audi e-tron eFoil set (Adventure, Performance, Competition, Hyperfly, Airfly) and the eFoil Boards sold separately.
Three Ride Modes
Rocket Ride unleashes the full power of the engine — for experienced riders looking to push throttle control to the maximum. Nice & Smooth is the balanced everyday mode. Gonna Fly is the beginner-oriented mode that lowers throttle sensitivity to help less experienced riders learn responsiveness without surprises.
Dual Wireless Connection
The remote is linked to the board via two wireless connection points (nose and tail) — no more annoying reconnection drops while riding. Robust pairing means uninterrupted control on the water.
Spring-Loaded Throttle & Virtual Gears
The throttle is fine-tuned to provide a large dynamic range. Use it as a continuous trigger for analogue feel, or switch to the 10-step virtual gear mode for predictable, balanced acceleration — ideal when you are learning, riding waves or sharing the board with riders of different skill levels.
On-Board Data Monitoring
Live GPS speed, battery consumption, efficiency, flying time and trip statistics — all on the remote at the push of a button. The remote is fully floatable and the adjustable silicone strap is sized for any wrist.
When Do I Need This Remote?
The Adventure, Performance, Competition and Airfly sets all ship with this remote by default. The Hyperfly set ships with the integrated Hyperbar instead — if you want to ride your Hyperfly without the Hyperbar (“classic” eFoil mode), this is the separate remote required.

Remote vs. Hyperbar — Two Control Concepts
Aerofoils offers two different control concepts for the Audi e-tron eFoil platform: the handheld Remote (this product) and the Hyperfly-specific Hyperbar (integrated in the steering bar). Both share the same three ride modes and full-color display; the Hyperbar adds physical handlebar support for supported learning.

Who is the Aerofoils Remote for?
The Aerofoils Remote serves a clearly defined audience:
- Owners of the rigid Audi e-tron eFoil sets (Adventure / Performance / Competition) and the Airfly inflatable — ships as the default control with these sets
- Hyperfly owners progressing past supported learning who want to ride classic eFoil style without the Hyperbar
- Multi-remote households who keep one Remote per rider for fast hand-off between sessions
- Charter operators and schools running multiple boards who keep spare Remotes in their service kit
FAQ — Compatibility, Ride Modes & Care
Which Aerofoils eFoils is this remote compatible with?
The Aerofoils Audi e-tron eFoil Remote is compatible with every Aerofoils eFoil set — Adventure, Performance, Competition, Hyperfly and Airfly. The remote pairs wirelessly via the dual connection points integrated into the board (nose and tail).
Do I need to buy this remote separately for the Hyperfly?
Yes — the Hyperfly set ships with the integrated Hyperbar (steering bar with display + controls) but not a separate remote. To ride the Hyperfly in classic eFoil mode (without the bar), you need this remote as additional accessory. Many riders start with the Hyperbar and add the remote later once they progress past the supported learning phase.
How long does the remote run on one charge?
Up to 8 hours of active riding on a single charge — enough for several full sessions. Full charge in 3 hours via the included charging station.
What does “sunlight readable” mean?
The 2.2″ full-color display is brightness-optimised so it stays clearly readable even in direct sunlight on the water — no squinting at low contrast or matte LCDs.
What is the difference between the three ride modes?
Gonna Fly reduces trigger sensitivity for relaxed, beginner-friendly throttle control. Nice & Smooth is the balanced everyday mode. Rocket Ride unlocks the full engine output for advanced riders. You can switch modes at any time during a ride.
What are virtual gears?
The remote supports two riding styles: free-throttle (the standard analogue trigger) or 10 incremental virtual gears, where each step releases a defined amount of power. Virtual gears make it easier to keep balance when learning and offer predictable acceleration for wave riding or sharing the board.
What happens if I drop the remote?
The remote is fully floatable. The adjustable silicone strap also keeps it secured to your wrist. If it slips off your hand, it stays on the surface for easy retrieval.
Can two remotes be paired to one board?
The board pairs with one active remote at a time, but you can re-pair another remote within seconds via the standard Aerofoils pairing routine — useful when sharing the board between riders.
Is the charging station included?
Yes — the charging station plus the USB-C cable and silicone strap are included in the box. The remote charges in 3 hours. A separate USB-C remote charger is also available as a spare or travel adapter.
How do I update the remote firmware?
Firmware updates are pushed through the Aerofoils App. Connect the remote to your phone via Bluetooth, open the app and follow the on-screen instructions — typically a few minutes.
